Super Street Fighter 4 pre-release Impressions - El Fuerte

Posted by Blues Sunday, January 31, 2010
No gameplay changes at all to note however his new Ultra opens up all new strategies to use.El Fuerte Ultra Spark is quick slide into a grab, it has decent range and comes out in 3 frames. While not as fast as Zangief's Ultra it has the added bonus of being ranged, quick start up and can go under many moves and fireballs. His 1st ultra is not that bad and in my opinion is actually highly underrated as it works wonders for any fighters who are jumping in and out, I look forward to see how this Ultra changes the El Fuerte match,...

Super Street Fighter 4 pre-release Impressions - Zangief

Posted by Blues Saturday, January 30, 2010
Zangief like the rest of the original cast seems to have negligible changes from Street Fighter 4. His Lariat reportedly does less damage....and that's about it as far as the bad things concerning Gief are concerned, so expect the Red Cyclone to be just as powerful as you remember him, even more so when you see what his new ultra can do.The Siberian Blizzard is his new air Ultra and as you can see in the video below it looks just as crazy as his original did. Now unlike the Ultimate Atomic Buster this move is a total game changer....

Super Street Fighter 4 pre-release Impressions - M.Bison

Posted by Blues Tuesday, January 26, 2010
From the limited information that I've been able to take in and from chatting with a few people who played him, Bison has not undergone that many changes at all.His new Ultra, Psycho Punisher, is absolutely brutal though. It seems to land similar to El Fuerte's Ultra 1, Bison does a low head stomp and lands right in front of them, grabs their face, picks them up and plunges his fist right into his victims stomach then blasts them full of psycho power. Even with all of his short falls and always having the feeling of fighting...
Two new trailers were released today by CapcomFirst up is the 3rd promotional trailer. Not quite as forth coming with new info as the last couple of trailers but it still has some really awesome animated scenes that will get your heart pumping. Sweet Scene of Cody coming through the wall too. Screw the Rules indeed. The next one is the new animation that will be packaged with special edition of SSF4. Looks much better than the movie packaged with SF4 SE. Story is based around Juli and how she became the person she is. The Alpha...

Super Street Fighter 4 pre-release Impressions - Blanka

Posted by Blues Friday, January 22, 2010
Blanka like most returning characters does not seem to have that many changes. His normals and specials are largely the same, their have been reports of his crouching fierce punch being closer to his SF2 version, his vertical Blanka Ball flying closer to the ground and his electricity apparently activates on 4 inputs instead of 5 now, overall not too much of a change to most seasoned Blanka players though the crouching fierce punch might...

Super Street Fighter 4 pre-release Impressions - T. Hawk

Posted by Blues Wednesday, January 20, 2010
T. Hawk is back and has made the transition across to SSF4 very similar to Dee Jay. Everything that he had before is back with a couple of extra's. The first thing that you'll notice about T. Hawk is his huge stature, the man is easily the biggest character in the game. His moves all return just as you remember them as well as a new move the Condor Spire. The Condor Spire is a cross between his Condor Dive and Rising Condor, he starts with...

Super Street Fighter 4 pre-release Impressions - Chun Li

Posted by Blues Sunday, January 17, 2010
Chun Li's Second Ultra is the Kikosho. It's been a series staple since the original alpha and we all expected this Ultra to make a comeback and it's great. Best of all it's not a charge move and it hits off some of her specials and unlike her original ultra it does not require you to be in the corner or have amazing timing. The move is near identical to her Third Strike version, she puts her hands behind her back to charge it up and then...

Super Street Fighter 4 pre-release Impressions - Sagat

Posted by Blues Saturday, January 16, 2010
First up Sagat takes more damage now, I heard that it's the same as Ryu's now so it's not that big an issue, on the plus side it just means you get your ultra quicker. While we are talking about his Ultra, Sagat's fireball super from the Alpha series, the Tiger Cannon, is back as his second Ultra. The charging of the fireball animation is exactly what you'd expect from a a fireball ultra, with Sagat drawing his hands together at chest hight...

Super Street Fighter 4 pre-release Impressions - Dee Jay

Posted by Blues Friday, January 15, 2010
Very fun to play. All the moves from SSF2T I remember are present, whether he will be as dominating as he was then is still unknown. Most tactics from the past can still be used, the slide is still an awesome anti air but now is nowhere near as good for closing the gaps as it is easily punishable when it whiffs or is blocked. His 1st Ultra - Sobat Festival can go through fireballs at close range, and looks fantastic too with him landing...
Not much has changed with Ryu in SSF4, his strong and fierce Dragon Punch's now hit twice, so hitting jump ins now dishes out a little less damage than before, that includes trading hits and following it up with the ultra so don't expect it to affect his game play at all. Saw a few people empty jumping in and just throwing it out catching FA happy people out not expecting the two hits. The rest of his specials and normals seemed identical...

What do you get when you cross a bootleg copy of Street Fighter 2 (SF2)on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and the 2d fighting engine known as Mugen? A really bad looking street fighter game that plays like a brand new fighting game. Their have been a couple of releases so far, the version currently available (1.0) contains the below characters each with the moves you know as well as some you don't. (check out Chun Li's new move...

Card Sagas Wars

Posted by Blues
This amazing looking little fan made dream cross over fighting game created using the 2D fighting engine Mugen that seems to be taking a page out of Super Smash Bros (SSB) play book. Just like SSB this game contains characters from multiple franchises and from multiple developers. You'll find the big names like Mario, Link, Cloud, Samus, and Master Chief and stars from lesser known but equally popular titles amongst the hard core crowds...
